Therapy Kitchen Collection

Therapy Kitchen Aromatherapy

When I wrote my In My Kitchen post I told you that Therapy Kitchen had sent a selection of their products that are perfect for folks like us who spend a lot of time in the kitchen.  Now most of you know that I won’t write about anything I don’t like and I’m writing about Therapy Kitchen from The Aromatherapy Co – it’s good stuff.

What I like best about it is the scent.  I wish I could share the most incredible scent of lemongrass, lime and bergamot that’s throughout my studio.  I work in my studio now. It used to be a bedroom and I flipped up Rob’s bed and turned it into a studio.  Then I realised I didn’t like having my office upstairs away from the studio and the kitchen.

That’s why I am working with the most exquisite smells in my office.  I’ve tried the Chef’s Room Spray which covered up a fishy after affect of dinner and BAM, the kitchen smelled like my office does now.

I’ve also used the Chef’s Natural Candle on more than one occasion. Unlike the spray, the candle just gives a gentle scent to the whole downstairs.

The Natural Soap Bar I used after a morning of planting herbs about back.  We’re having John’s family up this weekend and I couldn’t have pots with dead herbs sitting there, could I ?  No.  It’s been very hot and sometimes I work instead of watering. I’m going to try to do better.

Finally, the Chef’s Hand Cream is just what I needed.  I have my hands in a sink of dishwater several times a day and the skin on my hands does get quite dry.  I’ve noticed a huge improvement since I began using it.  I keep the tube next to the sink or I’d forget to use it.

The Aromatherapy Company has their products in many stores.  I went to Pillow Talk just a few minutes ago to pick up a new mattress cover and while I was waiting for the checkout chick I perused their collection of The Aromatheraphy Co. products.

I was not paid to write this post but I did receive these products at no charge.  My practice is to accept products for review but I only write about the ones I think are top drawer.  It IS the orgasmic chef, after all.

Okay, for Sally at Bewitching Kitchen.  Here’s the back yard.

We need to practice taking photos of Christmas lights.  🙂  We took the photo from the jetty on the water and it was low tide.  The blue lights are under the railing around the deck that’s around the pool.  The Merry Christmas was much cuter upside down – it was like that for 3 days and neither of us noticed it.

Sweet potato side dish

Now, just so you know I’m a food blogger, here are the potatoes we had for dinner.  I sliced the potatoes using a mandolin slicer on thin and stacked them in a roll and drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled some salt and pepper and a tiny bit of rosemary.  It took over an hour at 180C/350F.  I brushed them with a little melted butter when they came out of the oven but I don’t think they needed it.

Hope all your Christmas shopping is done and you’re sitting with your feet up drinking a cocktail and eating wonderful canapes.  You are, right?  I’m so tired I can’t see straight. I hope Christmas comes soon.

Definitely need to use my mandolin more often for roast potatoes! And that Chef’s candle sounds like bliss.

The Therapy Kitchen items look and sound wonderful! Love the sound of the candle – I especially like the subtle/gentle smell of scented candles. The hand cream sounds lovely too. I do a lot of hand washing so these would be perfect. Need to wear gloves more and it’s better to take care of them now rather than regret/worry later. The potatoes look wonderful. Best wishes! 🙂

Thanks for the photo! SPECIAL FOR ME! Ah, now you totally spoiled me, and wait until I tell Phil – he better start treating me like royalty or I shall move to Australia!

love your backyard… I MISS THE WARM WEATHER… it will snow here today and tomorrow… (sigh, sigh, sigh)

those potatoes made my heart skip a beat…

as to the feet up and relaxing? Right now I have another 2 hours to wait before I can grab a bunch of numbers from a machine and sit my derriere to do calculations of radioactive iron entering bacteria. Exciting, non?

Great collection of aromatherapy products to indulge in before and after the holidays.

While admiring the lovely thinly sliced sweet potatoes I had one of my periodic bouts of mandoline envy, though with my tendency to grate my fingers when doing the cheese for pizza, biscuits etc. that may not be a good idea. 🙂

I could use those products! My house always smells like something but the worst smell is after frying latkes. They are wonderful to eat but the oil smell takes awhile to get rid of! Next time I’ll try those sweet potatoes! Have a great holiday, Maureen! Looks pretty nice to me!

Those potatoes are like hasselbacks – but without the stress of carefully cutting the potato without accidentally cutting all the way through! Very happy to see the Christmas lights and I’m sure everyone in the boat parade will enjoy them 🙂 As for Therapy Kitchen, I’m popping over now to see if it’s too late to order some things for Christmas stockings because I trust your taste! (After our cookie disasters using the EXACT same recipe, I know we are two of a kind!!)

I cooked potatoes in exactly the same way last night! What a coincidence. I’ll put an image up on Instagram and tag you in it so you can see. I’m also no good at photographing Christmas lights – good photos elude me. I’m so in love with all your products! This is exactly what I’d love to see in my Christmas stocking xx

Well now, those lights look so pretty, Maureen! And I laughed hard that you had the Merry Christmas upside down! Too funny. Sweet potato is one of my favourites… it’s so versatile, as you’ve just proved! And as for the kitchen therapy, well they are just lovely.

There’s something about this time of the year when I tend to be so focused on scents. Just today I purchased 3 large bars of cucumber mango soap with shea butter. I was in heaven. The Therapy Kitchen products look like a great find as well. You’ll be so soft for the holidays.

Love your mandolin sliced potatoes, they look perfect!

Hope you have a very Happy Holiday!

Therapy Kitchen sounds like they have some nice things. I’ve not shot Christmas lights for years — they’re not quite as straightforward as one would think. A tripod helps a lot (for me, at least). And I love those potatoes! We’re having roast potatoes for dinner tonight — maybe I’ll try them your way. 🙂

What an incredible combination: lemongrass, lime and bergamot! I wish my office smelled like that and not stale coffee right now. 😉

Your potatoes are just beautiful, Maureen. And I wish I could say that all of my Christmas shopping is done, but I’m only half way there. Looking forward to the feet up and cocktail. 😉
