Using Twitter to Promote Your Blog or Website

April 2, 2011 by Maureen Leave a Comment

twitterDo you use twitter? I didn’t until very recently and then only because another food blogger recommended it to me. I can’t get over the fantastic new online friends I’ve made from all over the world. Yeah there are a lot of people who do nothing but want to sell you something – frankly I don’t follow those people. I like people who engage with me and with others. I’ve learned quite a bit about food preparation and different ingredients in just a few weeks. Things I probably would never have learned otherwise.

I’ve learned heaps about how to promote my blog from people who offer their advice for nothing. I’ve been able to get quite a few people (like you, perhaps?) to visit my blog. If you have a blog or website that you want to promote, you need to be seen on Twitter.com The only downside to Twitter is that it’s a time sink – I can visit the site and one tweet leads to another and another link leads to yet a better link and this recipe looks fantastic and that one looks oh so good.

If you love food and want to find the very best on offer, add some food bloggers to your twitter follow list. Make sure you follow me and I’ll follow you back. I’m sure you can teach me a thing or two and I just love making new friends who share my love of orgasmic food – food that’s better than sex. (almost)
