Chocolate truffles sound fancy and they're expensive to buy but they're really 50/50 good chocolate and cream. Roll in whatever you like and enjoy
Recipe type: Candy
Cuisine: French
Serves: 20
  • 225 grams chocolate - well chopped (or use chocolate chips)
  • 175ml cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1-2 tablespoons liqueur (I used Cointreau)
  1. Heat cream to the steaming point but not boiling. Add butter and when the butter has melted,
  2. Pour cream over the chopped chocolate and wait 2 minutes. Stir until silky smooth.
  3. Add liqueur and stir.
  4. Cover and leave to cool (or place in the refrigerator)
  5. Using a spoon, dip out the chocolate and form into balls with your hands and place back in the refrigerator and leave for an hour.
  6. Roll in cocoa, coconut, chopped nuts, sprinkles, or anything you like.
